Sighs. Where to begin...So the 07 mod was released. Little did we know at the time that the files were wrong. :s Sighs... What a dream release ey?
Well I must say that at least the cars looked great, and the graphics, and FPS was great too. But the sounds were just...not how they were in the build before release, don't know what happened there. And the physics and engines, sighs. This is a classic example why we should never release dates. Rushing to get it out as we were, we didn't notice we used old files and not the ones meant for release.
What a blunder aye? a year of work to blunder it at the final moment. But hey, things are being fixed. v2.0 is being made and that will surely rock your world. We will be making all the fixes found in v1.0, we will be fixing the sounds also to have final versions sounds in it. We will also be moving back to the demo v1 physics which were the ones everyone prefered. I think in all it will make the balance of the mod a lot better.
As for the release, well yes, it was the best now was it? But it was another learning curve for us and we will continue forward to make the 07 mod stunning with v2.0.
The track pack issues were resolved, and a new track pack will be made soon, with tracks mainly used from ISI which we have acquired permission for, (thanks ISI) and from other track developers who have also given us permission to use their tracks and also convert the modelling to different layouts for older season mods. (Thanks guys)
Whats really sad? all those idiots who post pages and pages of bashing at RFC, RSC, F1Mods.com. No matter what I do it will never be enough will it? So I am taking this time to announce that I am withdrawing from the online community. I will no longer take part in interviews, or posting online. From now on I will elect people suitable to undertake interviews for magazine articles, and for posting things online on RFC and F1Mods.com
I feel that by restricting myself to the private staff forum of MMG's, and to this blog, it will be enough for me. The hatred towards me will always be there, and it has ruined my joy and passion considerably, and for this I feel I need to isolate myself into the group and this blog, and not be apart of the community anymore.
I am sorry to those who support MMG and are smart enough to understand that MMG is working on fixing the issues with v2.0, I have been driven to just withdraw myself away. I think it will be better off. This way I don't have to wake up in the morning to 20 pages of flaming and bashing me. And this might give RFC admins a chance to take a break from deleting and shreding posts that flame and bash me all day every day.
I thank you all for your support over the years, and thank you for your continued support in the years to come. I hope you will enjoy v2.0 and server edition which are coming soon, and I hope you will enjoy our future mods. I will do my best to ensure the same mistakes don't happen again.
So to all, I bid a fond farewell. From now you will only be able to see me post on here every chance I get. Will still try to make daily posts. Raymond, Phil and Eddie will keep you all informed as I instruct from the deep confines of the team.
To those who hate me. I don't give a flying fuck what you think of me, you all can go and get fucked. You're nothing but a bunch of fucken losers who sit behind a comp and flame for no reason at all. Each of you need to get a fucken life and grow some brains. Its people like you who ruin this community with all your flaming and bashing. When this community gets rid of all of you mother fuckers, then this community will be so much better. Until then we will still have to endure you fuckwits running a muck in the sites around the net. FUCK YOU ALL, and I mean that from the deepest, most sincerest part of my darkened soul.
To those who support not only me, but the group. You are the reason we work hard to make the mods. We know there are bugs that can be frustrating when you have waiting so long for a mod. But we will always be there to fix whatever is wrong. We thank you for having the decency to act like civil human beings and give us constructive feedback so we can fix the things that are wrong so the mod can be improved further for your enjoyment. We hope you will keep supporting, and we hope to impress you all with the REAL versions of F1 2007 Mod. v2.0.
I will be making another update tomorrow and hopefully will include a more in depth feature list of what you can all expect.
I thank you all. Farewell.

Hi Petros, excuse me for my very bad english :( , i'm one of admin of Virtual Racing Group and i like you work (free!!!) and I believe firmly that your job and that one of MMG are sure of high level, with some defect, but sure a best job. I task that who works for the entire community without to embed moneies (as you) is a patrimony to safeguard for which I say here that from part mine and of www.virtualracinggroup.net you have the maximum support (even if still we are a small group) and I invite to you to continue your job without to attend to the critics of who in truth does not produce null for the community. Bye Fabrizio V.R.G.
Yaden.
I'm happy because I see You don't give up.
Don't worry, it's Your's first big mod. In my opinion it's GREAT mod even thoough not ideal. You must still working because F1 MMG must bee HoF. I wish Youand all MMG that. Sorry for my english.
Regards.
Sadly, the internet has spoiled and rotten a lot of people, mostly the younger ones.
I understand your decision to leave the online community. A lot of great sim racing modders have left because of this growing lack of respect for other people's work.
I've been a fan of sim mods since the GP3 era, It's sad to see not just a growing lack of respect, but also an escalating degree of abusiveness.
I am glad you're only removing yourself from the online community and not the modding project.
I'm sure that even though there is a growing number of ungratefull people in this community, they are still a minority. There are still more people out there who appreciates all the FREE mods that people like you and your group works hard on for us to play. A lot of them are just silent, but appreciative.
I wish you luck on your future projects... and... almost forgot...
Thank you for the awesome F1 2007 mod :)

Yanden, I'm a lurker. I often read but very rarely post on forums or blogs. But I just thought I'd post here to give you my thumbs up for all the work you and your group have done and are still doing and to extend my two fingers in the general direction of those haters that are hardly worth acknowledging, to be honest. As for the release glitch, no apols needed from this end. Shit happens. Shit gets fixed, the world moves on. Keep it up, dont be disheartened by losers. Really looking forward to F1 2007, whatever form it takes, whenever it's ready.

Hi guys,
What you do is in one word AWESOME. Expending time to try every F1 simulation's fans to have fun and enjoy in a different way the art of the simulation you deploy. I just want to say that the work you do is incredible and I cannot to describe how happy you made to me with this. Nothing is perfect but you know to look to yourself and hear others. To be humble is the best way to reach the higuest level; the excellence. The other people, those losers and envious are simply bastards who have time enough to fuck but not to recognize a very well done job.
Congratulations for your MOD for sure this is a good new standard, and a good reference for others, with the 2.0 will be for sure the best MOD. We trust you man! :-)
Very good job, keep your energies for you and forget those fucking short minded people.
Kind regards from Spain.
Yanden,
Let me first say that you're welcome to display or delete this comment as you wish, and that as a supporter and fan of the F1 2007 mod I hope you take this in the intended spirit.
When you say, "No matter what I do it will never be enough will it?", I wonder if you're not being a little hasty. It seems that the criticism of the last few days is directed at the mod, and if any of it ends up coming at you then it's surely because the MMG mod, as it is now, delivered less than was promised. If a promising demo turns into a less than optimal full release, and people feel short-changed for whatever reason, the criticism and the bashing is going to be at your door, because the mod has your name on it. Nature of the beast, Yanden. The launch didn't go well, the Mak Modding Group were behind the launch, the Mak Modding Group are going to take some flak.
I eagerly await the fixes and updates that will hopefully make what is already a promising mod into everything it should be, and continue to look forward to the 1991 and 1994 mods, but ultimately these mods are yours. I know they're being done for free, but all rFactor mods are - to blame the community for rushing MMG into a release, as certain of your members seem to be doing at RFC, is surely at best difficult to fully justify and at worst borne of arrogance given that the mod belongs to you, not us, and your group have the freedom and the responsibility to make sure it's released when it's good and ready, not when the impatient community want it. If people want the quality, take charge of your mod - again, your mod, not ours - and let them wait until it can be safely delivered. To put it in real-world terms, I'm a salesman and if my sales pitch is delivered before it's ready, the client is not to blame for that and has every right to tell me so in strong terms.
You've said already that too much was said, too many promises were made with F1 2007, and it's fair to say that the pre-release hype was at fever pitch. You're going to get some stick if the finished product doesn't match up to the pre-release exposure and the pre-release build-up, and as the man at the helm I hope you feel able to take the criticism on board and learn from it rather than withdrawing from what is, by and large, a supportive community - what will you gain by hiding away from the supporters?
Again, I look forward to future mods and updates and applaud your efforts so far.
Best wishes,
Adam

hey man i feel your pain! unfortunately there seems to be so many idiots out there. The work you guys have done is excellent, better mod than fsone and lfs and even better than ctdp in my humble opinion. though they all have there strengths mmg 2007 has it all, and i love the physics too.
Hopefully you will be able to look back and remember the good parts and forget these flaming nutters.
Keep up the good work mate, and dont let the bastards grind you down.
cheers
This is really sad, A man driven away from teh community like an outcast.....This is a crucial blow to me because I respect yours and MMGs work on a level that I give to no other modders
In my anger over the situation I have posted a thread at nogrip but as I stated in there I was too tired to see if any of that made sense....
Sincerly,
Joshua Healy (Hoboholic, Dreamseller)
This is truley sad how one man can be driven away from a community that I pressumed once respected him....I really feel sorry for you and your team for how you have been ridiculed by such childish behaviour.
This is a huge blow as I have respect for you and MMG that I dont have for any other mod group....I truely wish you guys all the luck I have left for the future, in rFactor and personal life,
I would also like to thank each and every member of MMG for the wonderful work you are doing for the rFactor, F1 challenge and GP4 communities....
Sincerly,
Joshua Healy (Hoboholic, Dreamseller)
Things don't have to be like this. I bet alot of people would still love to see you around in interviews. On the other hand, whoever flamed you should go die.

hey i hope i didnt comment twice, well just wanted to mention you should not apologize the work your team has done its great and mistakes do happen just wanted to thank you guys for great mod... now some constructive criticisms i believe bmw sauber f1 physics

Man.... You have no Idea how much I appreciate your not only out off hand but extremely passioned work you done with 07 MMG. Congratulations from the deepest.. and man let me tell you .. I run a company and soon I will make that company big enough to support you guys. I deeply love F1 and love sim racing, but the the MMG mod in the past week has made me be in my computer every day at 10pm till 2am... I'm always looking to froward playing this thrilling MOD.. and swear I'd play all f1 mods from extreme racers f1 to none rfactor games llike gp4 and f1cc.. just let me say that I even started creating a cockpit because of this game... I started with a racing chair 3 days a go and i gonna grow. I'm not only writing this because of what I was reading in your blog but because this being my first comment in anything that has to do with sim racing or gaming for this matter (probably my last one).. i fell the need to tell you that there are a lot of people that truly love this mod but never leave feedback... tell you this cu i know 7 including me. The ones who write crap are the ones that need to doing cuz thats what drives them.. just writing crap.. if they don't hate is not them. If there was something wrong (with any mod)I would let you know but never in a immature way. Just know that there are so much people out there who loves this mod and joust have a little problem with the sound. and will appreciate any upgrade...Man your work outstanding. Sos Grande Pive, Savelo!!
